This can be used to thread with Haruhi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[That is the weirdest thing he's heard of someone coming to the library for... recently, anyway. Still, he knows the mechanical section well enough, more or less- he's pilfered the area a few times for info about parts to use in his equipment. With a nod, he gets to his feet and tucks the book under an arm, leading the way.]

Yeah, come on, I'll show you. It's actually not far from here.

Well aren't you helpful? [She says this in lieu of a proper thanks, though she'll get to that, soon. She reaches out and gives him a light pat on the back. It would be on his head but she's too short, honestly]

Well, we are related. If I'd blown you off, wouldn't I have gotten a comment like, "didn't your mother raise you better than that!?"

I think I'd have blamed your father for it, actually. [Which isn't a slight against Hohenheim, not really. More just a light tease at the fact the guy can be a little off sometimes]

Sounds fair! All of my faults come from his side of the family anyway.

[He doesn't hate his dad, but man, they probably fight more than most.]

So you can't just hit random buttons and figure it out by hand?

Well, for the buttons. I want to know how the wires inside of it work. [Which... she could do manually but that just seems like way more hassle]

[Oh, right, book. After a bit of searching and rifling through the selection, he finally drags out a manual-esque thing and hands it over. Something about home appliance mechanics.]

[She takes this from him, examines... and finally nods. This does seem like it'll work. She sticks it under her arm]
