godbent | 2nd: The Rekindling of Haruhi Suzumiya

[So, dressed in her big white coat, gloves, boots... you name it, the snow is finally last harsh now than it was yesterday and the day before, so Haruhi is setting off to do something after school and the meeting today. The moment she arrived in Luceti - okay not the moment, but within the first day - she heard the guy's voice before. Not Nala's, but the fire one, the one she remembers bonding with- Eferin. It's probably about time she evened the score with him. So today, she jogs out to the edge of the forest, and can be found there leaning against a tree, muttering to herself. If you happen to be good at listening you might hear some highlights, but by and large it's just here holding up a vague conversation with the spirit. Now and again sparks fly around her, but in a way this is welcome.

So, once the bond is secured, she nods to herself and decides to take it for a test run. She looks up at the snowing sky and shakes her head. There's that newfangled Battle Dome - which she doesn't want to go to - or the Barracks, but that's too close to Sokka's place. So in the end, she heads to the Rec Center. She'll be going to the Brigade meeting and school today of course, but the early evening finds her there. Initially, she's just inspecting things here, deciding what they should add in order to make it better...

While sitting in a chair juggling fireballs idly. She's testing her control over the fire element, okay.

Haruhi-chan! Keiichi-kun said you'd be here.

Uh... yeah. I guess I'm here for dinner.

Keiichi-kun said as much. Please come in, Haruhi-chan! We're cooking right now, so it won't be long.

[Not all of them are cooking. Keiichi is setting the table, readying it for the dinner. None of them is crazy enough to let him try to cook, they already cross fingers when he gets close to the microwave.]

Haru-chan! Good, I was going to go get you after I was done with this.

[Which would have been in another minute.]

Yeah, I came as you asked. ...But who's we, anyway? [There's more of you than Rena and you?]

...Rena freezes a bit here. The newest addition, as good as it was to see him again, has left her more than a little unnerved.]

...Didn't you know, Haru-chan? Didn't you? [Yeah, she thinks it's a cute name. :|] Rika-chan is here too!

...Satoshi-kun too.

Yeah, Rika's presence is one of the reasons why I wanted you to come and meet her. Hanyuu would he here but... She's still kidnapped.

[He can't help to look at Rena briefly as he talks.]

Those Malnosso seem to have an habit of keeping the girls of our world for a long time.

[Satoshi? Who the hell is a Satoshi. She just... shrugs- wait. Rika?]

...Rika, huh.

[He's the one that tends to spark the bad ends. :( Also he may or may not be helping to keep Keiichi away from the stove.]

Yeah! She's helping Rena cook.

[He's also the one who set the wheels of destiny to start turning so they were able to break it, without him Keiichi may have probably never made it to Hinamizawa. And Keiichi isn't such a danger at the stove, guys, really!]

She arrived shortly after you took a break from here. She has no memories of ever being here before though.

[She suspected as much. Somehow, though, with these two beside her, it doesn't hurt quite as much as she expected it to. Still though, for Rika to be here... there's a certain important question-]

Does she know how much I know?

[...A smile. An attempt to be comforting. She did know that Haruhi probably disliked losing people as much as her male counterpart.]

...I don't think so.

[Keiichi's glad that he's standing a bit behind Rena, that way maybe she won't notice the alarmed expression on his face at Haruhi's question and the way he looks at Rena for a second before glaring at their guest. Taking into account that you probably and surely know more than what Rena, even this Rena, knows, that's a dangerous and tricky question to ask.]

I explained to her several things.

[And he'll leave it at that, you both may notice the light bite in his voice. Drop the topic already or board it in another way.]

[Keiichi what is your problem she's explained this to Rena before. she thinks. Haruhi glares back at him for a moment and then shakes her head]

Whatever. Rena if you're cooking you should get back to the kitchen- and I guess I need to meet this Satoshi character?

[It's hard to be angry when it concerns Keiichi - not with what she's seen in her world. But his tone of voice still causes her to frown. But whatever, she'll drop it at the mention of Satoshi.]

Satoshi-kun was in Hinamizawa a year before Keiichi-kun. He's very nice! Rena's glad to see him again.

[Even if it was a bit of a brainbreak.]

Rena hopes you get along with him, Haru-chan.

[It's not just what Rena may know, but how she may take it, he can remember bits from other worlds but he isn't sure what Rika told her back home or anything. And he has yet to try to talk about it, he's worried to cause Rena to snap for his own stupidity.]

He's the older brother of another one of our friends, Satoko, though I don't think you have ever meet her?

[As far as he knows the only people to ever be present here were Rena, Rika and Hanyuu.]

Though I've just met him basically he's not a bad guy.

Yeah, I've never met that one. [...But if you're going to keep talking about this guy you might as well bring him on out, sheesh]

[Oh fine, she'll go get him then. :|]

Well...I guess you can now! Satoshi-kun is in the other room; I'll go get him.

[She disappears momentarily before returning a few moments later, pulling this particular blonde boy along with an almost exuberant amount of cheer; it doesn't seem like she told him what he was being dragged out for.]

Ah! H-hey, Rena, you don't have to pull me...

[Don't like Rena pulling you? That's fine, Keiichi reaches and pulls you to himself as soon as you both appear. Satoshi, find yourself placed in front of Haruhi.]

Okay, Haruhi, let be introduce you to Satoshi Houjou. Satoshi, this is Haruhi Suzumiya, she's your new dominatrix, be good with her.

[How can he say those things with such a straight face will always be a mystery.]

[Because she hears about a million voices in the other room, Rika decides to finally leave the kitchen.]

... Mii. Keiichi, I am sure you are only confusing Satoshi by saying something like that.

[Wha-] Keiichi, what the hell're you saying?! I know you have fetishes, but keep them out of introductions for me! It's not like I've ever used a whip on you!

[And then she's about to continue, her eyes on Keiichi... when Rika walks in. She blinks, and then stops mid-deluge to turn to the little girl. ...So, she really is back, isn't she? Her voice dies and then she puts her finger she was about to accuse the boy with down, sighing.]

[So she decides to be polite. She awkwardly waves and then awkwardly... not quite bows but inclines her head in Rika's direction] ...Hi, I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, it's nice to meet both of you. I'm the one who looks after Keiichi here.
