godbent | 2nd: The Rekindling of Haruhi Suzumiya

[So, dressed in her big white coat, gloves, boots... you name it, the snow is finally last harsh now than it was yesterday and the day before, so Haruhi is setting off to do something after school and the meeting today. The moment she arrived in Luceti - okay not the moment, but within the first day - she heard the guy's voice before. Not Nala's, but the fire one, the one she remembers bonding with- Eferin. It's probably about time she evened the score with him. So today, she jogs out to the edge of the forest, and can be found there leaning against a tree, muttering to herself. If you happen to be good at listening you might hear some highlights, but by and large it's just here holding up a vague conversation with the spirit. Now and again sparks fly around her, but in a way this is welcome.

So, once the bond is secured, she nods to herself and decides to take it for a test run. She looks up at the snowing sky and shakes her head. There's that newfangled Battle Dome - which she doesn't want to go to - or the Barracks, but that's too close to Sokka's place. So in the end, she heads to the Rec Center. She'll be going to the Brigade meeting and school today of course, but the early evening finds her there. Initially, she's just inspecting things here, deciding what they should add in order to make it better...

While sitting in a chair juggling fireballs idly. She's testing her control over the fire element, okay.

Ohhh...I guess that makes enough sense. [Even if Haruhi's a girl, he still kind of hero-worships her a bit.] Think you could give me some tips?

...Well that guy's a little arrogant, so you got to let him talk for a while and humor him a bit. But if you aren't strong enough to shoot right back there's no way he's ever going to respect you either.

Hey Eferin! This kid's alright! [She said the air around her]

[...just. This face.] Did that really work?

How should I know? [Jeez. But then she shuts her eyes and mutters to herself. Some flames spread over her hands. She then keeps muttering]

...so cool. [He'll just be quiet and watch.]

[She keeps the flames in place for a while... and then shoots them out towards one of the walls before they go out. She sighs and rolls her shoulders following that]

Jeez, it's harder to do now...

Maybe Eferin doesn't like you as much as he used to.

So you haven't gotten spirits down from school yet?

Just the really easy ones. But anybody can get those...I wanna try for the bigger ones.

Yeah well, once you've chatted with enough basic ones the larger entity should be apparent, right? I mean they're technically the same being... I think. It's like talking to a cell in a bigger body. Or a barnacle on a whale.
