47th: The Boundaries of Haruhi Suzumiya

[Some scrambled text which is clearly a test filter and then a much more somber note hits her. Oh...]

-Kyon's gone. Home, I mean, unless these things are bugged out here. If anyone sees him, tell me.

[ Action // All the Days (October 27th - November 2nd) ]

[ Haruhi managed to almost, almost escape and hide from the first wave of droids. Not quite though, and ultimately she was taken along with the rest of her house. Which resulted in her being... here. The moon, and Malnosso World. And you know what, it's not as bad as it could be. Actually, no, for October? This is great, unless something is going to end up going horribly wrong at the last moment. Which she is wary for, particularly around Halloween itself, but for the most part...

The first few days, Haruhi is situating herself in the trip. Going out and having fun (mostly in Casino Land or Thrill Land, though she goes everywhere), trying to spend time with friends, and trying to find Kyon. This makes up most of her days, but come night- she makes a realization. She is (technically) allowed to go into the districts of the other enclosures. It's not like she came stocked beyond what's in her purse normally, but she can go and talk with them, hear their experiences, and maybe even recruit a few into her Brigade. And so, to mixed results, she tries to do just that: hang out at other enclosures in the night, go out and have fun on the park during the day.

Sometimes this alternates (most notably, on Halloween itself, Haruhi can only be found in Junior Land because of both discovering dinosaurs and figuring it's least likely for people to mess with kids on that day) and she might well invite people to come with her to the Lands (particularly Bubble Land which she does not want to solo) or the other districts with her, but damn if she isn't spending as much time as she can doing something during this whole trip. Well, except baseball - if she runs into any ball toss games or batting games she's so out of there. Or ball players.

... And she assures you, it has nothing to do with how lonely it is to be the only one from North High left in Luceti. She's used to that. Totally. That's not at all why she's trying to spend time with people even as she's doing these errands. (it is though: feel free to assume you've been dragged or invited to either ride rides, play games, or chat up people from other enclosures. ...Or help her try to find SCUBA equipment. That too)]

[Haruhi might be avoiding ball toss games, but Fayt's been playing quite a few, among other game booths. He's won quite a few prizes, but he didn't really want most of them either, so he's taken to passing them out.

Between that and his current.... discomfort with being alone, when someone he knows passes by, it's enough to draw him over.] Hey!

Huh? [She turns, her eyes falling on - isn't that the Fayt guy?]

It's been a while. [A casual wave as he finally makes his way over.] You here to play some games?

[godbent]

[She crosses her arms before nodding] Yeah, I figured I might as well, right? Some of the prizes are nice too.

[etherealblast]

Personally, I just like the games. [A pause, before he ventures.] I won way too many prizes I don't need, actually. Do you want some?

[godbent]

Depends. What are you offering?

[etherealblast]

Well.... [Glancing back at the table he's been dumping the plush toys on and jerking his thumb in that direction. There's..... quite a pile.

He liked games, alright.] Take a look.

[godbent]

You have your own table?

[Seriously? Still, she makes her way over to the table. If he says so]

It's not mine..... but I needed someplace to put them. [A shrug. The tables for people who needed to sit to rest and eat were scattered about the place already anyway. Might as well make use of them. He walks after her, sticking close.]

If you see anything you want, you can have it.

Why didn't you try to get more points for more prizes which're better or something?

[But as she gets over there, he keeps flipping through the stuffed animals. Huh ]

Mostly I did. But the really big ones are way too bulky, so I tried to avoid those if there was no one around who wanted them. [Really, it was... quite the assorted collection, as Haruhi will find.]

This stuff is easy for me, as long as it's not rigged.

[Even some of the ones that were rigged, really.]

I meant things which aren't stuffed animals. I know I saw some cell phone prizes.

Cellphones? [...Oh right, those things..... they were practically antiques.] I haven't seen stalls with any of those yet.

Might be cool to own something that old fashioned.

You're from the future?

[Wait, she should have know that, but she turns, interested.]

... Yeah. Cellphones were outdated several centuries ago by communicators, where I come from. [She should know that, and he gives her a surprised look, settling a hand on his hip with a questioning look.] I thought you knew, since you know Leon.

[godbent]

Le--on, oh right. Right, Leon's not just an alien, he's from the future too. [He always forgets that. She exhales now and] Whatever, the point is that you can get more useful things than the stuffed animals.

Mind showing me the way then? I must have missed the stalls somehow.

Deal! Follow me!

[Turn on her heel, little pose, and let's start making our way further into the heart of Casino Land. Let's do this]

[Fayt raises a brow at the pose, grinning a bit before following after her with an amused look. He didn't mind leaving the pile of toys behind-- if someone took them, they'd take them. He was trying to give them away to begin with.]

[ and as the march continues, Haruhi begins to talk animatedly. It won't be a long march but... just letting herself be silent is more time to dwell on things.]
