Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Haruhi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

Is there a reason for that? Besides that suddenly there's going to be another mostly teen-based organization around.

They're moving in on my Brigade's turf, obviously! It starts with the school, oh yeah, but there's not enough to do at a school this size so soon enough it's like "let's make a cultural festival" or "hey, let's make some other clubs" - these sorts of mechanisms will absorb both interest and potential members away from the SOS-Brigade. Not to mention, we're the rebels and they're the Man! Us being eternal foes is only natural!

[Mind you this isn't said... hatefully. Just matter of fact]

Interest and potential members? Even when you make advertisement about the Brigade at the end it's down to you interviewing people and then decide if you want them in or not. Not to mention the people you just invite [More like drag...] without them even showing interest... Or knowledge of what the Brigade is.

Not to mention that even if they organize events or create clubs, that will all still be school related. The Brigade does close to nothing in relation to the school. I just don't see how they are anything similar for there to be competition.

The school isn't enough! Anything made through the school with fill up the village's interests in no time flat and suddenly we'll have some other loser group thinking they can set up something better than we can for Tanabata! It's a matter of principle, principle! We need to show a strong face to any potential adversary, of which there is no doubt his is one.

We're done plenty for the school. The whole Brigade attends.

For that matter we have done plenty for the village as a whole since we all live here...

[This is just ridiculous... What the heck is he doing anyway? Trying to convince her to change her mind? This is Haruhi whom we're talking about. She won't change her mind, no matter what, specially not when she can play the role of the one being attacked even without any reason to do so. Heck, for all he knows the only reason why she doesn't act that way towards the Blue Rogues or Brave Vesperia is because even she has enough common sense to know that there's no reason to consider them rivals... Until one of them decides to throw a party, why doesn't she see the Welcome Center and its New Feather parties as enemies anyway?]

Whatever, if you're going to label them as enemies and are so worried about them stepping out of their boundaries, why don't you try to get a mole in the Council? That way if they ever try to do something like a festival or whatever you can know what they will do and when and have the Brigade organize an event that takes the spotlight and village interest from them. Without having to dirty your hands too much, because with the way the village is if the Brigade opposes them too openly the Council will just have to play victim and gain sympathy that way.

But with a mole there you may even make the announcement for your event before they make theirs and the one who will seem as the victim being attacked will be the Brigade. With a mole you can even know the names of the people in the Council specifically and set a filter so they don't know what's going to happen until it does.

Basically, that's you volunteering for that sort of position, right? [Because, hello, if Minato's involved then Keiichi will, no doubt, side with that guy. She tries to keep her tone business like, but some part of her is annoyed at the fact he's making a long juxtaposition about... about what? Even if everything is resolves with Winry, her feelings about Keiichi she's still not entirely certain.]

I don't need you to tell me that much.

That's basically it, yeah. Minato told me he's going to join, but not as the president, the president will still be that Shuri, so there's no issue regarding personal interests.

I wouldn't quit the Brigade even if you kicked me out, I would go and sit outside of the headquarters until you allowed me in again.

Why do you think I brought this up to you now? I won't do anything you don't want me to, sure, I would like to join there, both because Minato is on it and I want to do more for the village and the people here, but if it comes to be an option of being there or be in the Brigade there's no way I would choose anything but the Brigade.

Minato may be my bro, but you own me, remember?

[She doesn't care about that middle part, but the first part made her squirm a little and the final sentence made her wince. She had said that before, yes, but now it felt even more silly than it did immediately after she said it]

It has nothing to do with owing you something. It's my own election, my decision. You two are both dear friends for me, but if I have to make a choice about what group go to, the Brigade is the only possible option because I decide so.

[Besides, Minato probably wouldn't let him quit it either just for that.]

Well then, Mole, I'll be expecting those regular reports in future.

[There isn't a chibified Keiichi inside of his mind doing somersaults in celebration. Not at all.]

Should I bring a recorder to the meetings or would just a retelling be enough?

Nah, you're dependable, right? If you think you need to rely on that though, go for it.

Okay, I'll go with a retelling then, for now at least. I won't scratch the recorder completely, who knows, maybe one day I'll be unable to talk or something and have to rely on that.
