Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Haruhi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

And you aren't hurt?

[She said to try to offhand the pain]

[He is. But it's fine, it will go away. One day he will be sent back and they will be there. He will see them again.]

I am. But you're more important.

I'm more- Jeez, Keiichi. That just sounds silly.

[With a little huff]

And why does it sound silly? Even if we all hurt, it's you and the others the ones who have it worse. You yourself said it.

[Even if Rena returns with no memories, she would still be his Rena. Haruhi and the others, though, there was only one Rena for them.]

You're the one with more connection and history though! What are you talking about?! That's how it always is - the people from the same world get the hallpass of depression in these situations!

I will see her again some day. Maybe not tomorrow or the next week, maybe not in the next months, but some day I'll be sent back whether I like it or not and I'll get bored of seeing her everyday and tease her and pat her head. But you won't, unless she returns here with all the memories of this place you won't see that Rena again. And if you or Minato leave I probably won't see you ever again either.

[He sighs heavily.]

I'm not in the mood of holing myself in my room until you come to drag me out of it because of this again... Besides, it's not as if I'm Rika, I don't remember all those worlds we were through, only bits and pieces. In reality I've known you and the others longer than what I've known Rena and the others.

[He had been struggling about it, his bonds with them where still there but he felt more drained to Minato and the rest. He seemed to be unable to ride his bike together with his friends of Hinamizawa at the same speed but he was able to do it with the friends he had made in Luceti. He's still depressed though, but he really tries to be strong and deal with it, it's true that he didn't feel like moping like he had before.]

[...Hah. Leave it to Keiichi to say something sensible. She sighs and then makes her way over to the shelve of books. She reaches up and plucks one off the shelf, a silly little number about rabbits from the moon. She looks a the cover before putting it back on the shelf. This all happens as she tries to come up with something to respond to that with.

Finally, she comes up with-] ...Well, that's good.

[He has his moments, as rare as they may be. He'll be here, observing her for a bit. It's not that he's expecting more to be said from her specifically but he doesn't have more to say at the moment... Nothing he wants her to know at least.]

...So that leaves the Brigade without a vice-chief, again.

[Sigh]

There's Taichi, he's young and all but he didn't do a bad job while you were gone if we don't make comparisons.

You think he's ready for that?

Maybe not. But he won't ever be ready if he doesn't get challenged by it and given more responsibilities and all, don't you think?

Yeah, I guess so... [...Sigh, yeah fair enough. But she still isn't sure about the idea of Taichi with all that responsibility]

Besides, you're here, if it's too much for him you can take a bit more of work for a while as he grows used to it or something, can't you?

The Vice-Chief has a lot of mitigation responsibilities though.... Maybe I should do it based on merit after all.

If there's anyone that fits I suppose it's another option. Though I still think you should start to give Taichi more responsibilities and such, the kid works hard after all.

You mean for the vice-chief position? I'm not anywhere close to the leader type, I don't think you really want me in any special position.

Mm.... yeah, probably not.

[She said amazingly quickly. She shakes her head and sighs. You know, actually... she's pissed off now and distracting with this nonsense. She glares at the whiteboard in the corner of the room for a moment before looking back at Keiichi]

Hey Keiichi, want to dance?

[That was totally random, but it's Haruhi and he doesn't think she's in a great mood at the moment.]

It would be fun if you want to.

[Or do you mean him dancing alone and you watching? If it has to do a striptease he wants to be paid somehow.]

I do! Just some basic stuff... I should have a set of speakers in here somewhere, we can either go to my place and use the laptop or yours and stela Minato's mp3 player.

[She waves a hand to shoo him to work about now.]

[He blinks at the shooing before he goes to try to find those speakers.]

I think Minako-chan has one of those mp3 players, in case Minato's is a no go.

[At least the first Minako he met had one.]

Huh, does she? Good... good, that'll speed things up. The lack of CDs or anything here is really annoying sometimes.
