Yeah. [Naoki chugs right along--]

So, how are you?

Well, I mean... it's White Day. So I guess that's fine. There's been a lot of stuff going on, but.

[Pauses.] It is White Day, huh? Done anything for it?

Well waited to get my just dues, obviously.

[Laugh.] Expecting plenty, huh?

Three hundred present returns on my investments, at least.

... That sounds like a lot.

Not really, nothing unreasonable there.

You're sure about that?

[But he ends up grinning, mostly to himself.]

How much do you repay people for White Day?

It's usually two or three times, isn't it?

[don't ask him, Haruhi. he's only given back gifts a couple of times on White Day. mostly to family. and Chiaki, who he doesn't count because the chocolates she gave him were out of pity, he's sure.]

Exactly- three times, three hundred percent!

Oh-- For a minute, I was thinking you meant three hundred times...

So, what're you up to?

Hm? Nothing much, really--

Nothing, huh.

Why?

Because you just got here?

Ah-- Mm. I haven't been doing that much since I got here.

How boring is that? Jeez, Naoki.

Sorry. [He laughs, sheepishly.] I didn't exactly have a lot of things lined up.

[And he was trying to remember ahaha.]

Huh. Well, most people would be rushing around re-getting-to-know friends, but fair enough.

I've been doing that as I remember things... But otherwise. [Quite a few people he'd known had disappeared in a year and a half, he'd found.

Pause. Then,] So, I was wondering if there'd be any room for me in the Brigade again.

[there's a short intake of breath and then, relieved but not quite wanting to push that]

Of course! I mean- yeah, there is.

[--whoops Naoki fails utterly at hiding how pleased he is.]

Great-- I mean, thanks, Chief.
