Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Haruhi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Step-ladder right next to the main entrance, actually, so it's right there. But here up on the roof, she's just standing, looking vaguely at the skies]

You don't have to if you don't want. I'm waiting for him to get back. Here for Hawky, right?

[Nah, he's already climbing up there, standing up a bit behind her.]

He's not here? Where is he?

I sent him off to deliver a message, duh. Just a short one to Winry to make sure he goes through his paces.

[She nods here, sagely]

Fair enough.

[Not wanting to stand more than he has to, he sits against the roof instead.]

So... any troubles with him?

[She shrugs before shaking her head] No, nothing like that. Once I asserted dominance it worked out fine.

[Well, asserted dominance is overstating it. But the bird did eventually stop pinching too hard, at least]

[Uh huh. Dominance, sure. Now he feels kind of sorry for inflicting Haruhi on his poor bird.]

Well good. Great. As long as he didn't make any messes or anything.

No, the guy's surprisingly refined. For a bird.

[She says this blandly. Refined might be an overstatement, but it's the first that came to mind.]

He really is! Even if he is, technically, an enemy bird.

If he's an enemy why do you have him?

... because he's cool? [And Sokka is very bad at holding grudges.]

...Well, whatever. He is pretty cool.

Yeah. I just wish I knew what happened to him back in my world. The same day I got him, Katara sent him off to deliver a message in the Earth Kingdom.

[For all he knows, poor Hawky never made it.]

And I take it that wasn't too long before you poofed, given you didn't check up on him? [Or... he didn't get back. Or something - you'd think they would know if the message cleared or not, for example]

I think Toph's parents still had him, but we were a little too busy for me to make sure, you know? Even with the war over.

[Heck, things only got BUSIER once the war was over.]

Well, fair enough. [She shrugs here (mostly because she can't imagine the context and doesn't want to try), scanning the sky. The bird should be back soon enough. In fact, that thing on the horizon is probably him.]

Anyway, the cage and everything's in the living room. [She had at least some sense of prep]

Good, I'll just get Hawky and--

[He watches as the bird returns and... lands on Haruhi. Bad bird.]

[And Haruhi, grinning, gives a sage little nod to the bird. She also pets the base of its neck lightly, giving a slight coo]

Hey, looks like your real owner's here, right? Guess this is where we part ways, huh, Hawky?

Yeah, guess so.

[Dammit woman, don't coo at his bird! Sokka glares at the avian like it's betrayed him. He sets is arm out in front of Hawky and the bird climbs on like the obedient thing it is, but Sokka can't help but thinks Hawky is giving Haruhi a forlorn look.]

Ready to go back home, Hawky? [The bird couldn't look less interested.]

[She gives a short little nod to the bird. Come on, you're Sokka's bird and you're suppose to want to hang out with him. It was nice to have someone she would care for though, like Sekai. She really needs to reclaim her cock. Still, she takes this free moment to go back towards the edge of the roof and therefore the step ladder to get down]

Like I said, right inside.

[And without further adieu, she begins her descent. It is right there but might as well confirm she didn't take one or two things to her room or something]

[It's amazing how indifferent Hawy is too all of this, these two people are just reading too much into it all. Once Haruhi starts heading down, Sokka does the same.]

Right. I guess he got plenty of exercise at least. That's... good.

'Course he did, I kept up my end of it.

[And now inside... okay, cage, other items. Good, all there]

[Sokka inspects to see it's all there, then piles the stuff in the cage to make it easier to take back.]

Right, right. So uh, see you at school.

[And then he can just leave and let the awkward be over.]

Yeah, see you.

[She doesn't feel the awkward. ...Not that strongly. So here, have a little wave]

[He gives a bit of a nod before he heads off, hawk and cage in tow.]
