[Okay so she's still on the tailend of recovering from the cold she had when she came back from the draft, but by now the fever has (mostly) subsided and she no longer feels tired all the time which leads her to make an important announcement:]

Keiichi, come pick up your stupid boyfriend, he doesn't need to creep around my house and play nurse anymore! Or... Minako! You get over here and help me get him in a proper nurse uniform if he thinks he can hang around like this! Neku, you're a man, why haven't you kicked him out yet--

[And then there's a scramble because... Minato may or may not have taken note of her doing this. Fuuuuuh. Oh wait-]

[Aaaaand here she's forced away from her book :C She's been bedridden/otherwise kept mostly at or around home for a while now, so for Brigade people assume she has not been at meetings since she got back. And aside from her message that she was alive right when she got back (here) she hasn't exactly gone out of her way to contact anyone.

A number of reasons, there's a lot of potential uses, you know. [She says this deftly, still pacing. The humming stops a moment and then finally she concludes which of her ideas she wants to test right now. But before that-]

Actually, how do you do the hand-clap thingy? Pre-drawn circles?

[She doesn't know that for sure, but she shrugs after her quick snipe. For all she knows he actually has a circle engraved into one of his hands or something]

[Yeah, if she wants to define it that way, he won't argue about it. He doesn't have a much better answer for her besides a squiggly-armed "I saw that thing" or to lie and call himself a genius alchemist. She's certainly not getting the full story.]

Well I'm in the market for a boat, and while I'd prefer to have something made by my Brigade, you transmuting a tree or something would do wonders for the frame.

I've never made a boat before, but I'm pretty sure I could.

I've got plans for one, complete and detailed - you just need to use the raw materials to make it happen. I figure if you "weld" the wood it'll be more water-tight than boards anyway.

'Course I do. [In fact, it's right inside. She holds up a finger before heading on inside the house and then coming out very shortly thereafter, holding a rolled up blueprint. Hiccup helped her refine the plan, but it's basically a sailboat... with space for an engine if she can find anyone to make it. She is however, thinking ambitious: the plans are for something big enough to comfortably have over a dozen people on it and space enough for three or four to sleep comfortably if they furnished an inside part.

She might need to downsize. Or not. She hands them over]

[Edward can't help but stare at the drawing for a moment, lips pursing. That's... a lot bigger than he expected it to be.]

I've never made anything this big.

[His tone isn't meant to imply, "it's too big and I can't do it", though. He's seen bigger transmutations after all.]

But can you do it? [She says this simply. Intently]

[Edward doesn't answer at first, pulling a little black book out of his jacket and glancing between it and the blueprints, taking notes as he studies it. This goes on for a bit before he nods, as if the numbers seem to match up.]

Yeah, I can do it. I just need all the materials.

Of course. [She's not sure how much that is... two or three trees? Or maybe it would just be easier to transmute the whole of an empty house and let to regenerate that way?] Do you have a estimation on the wood amount? Given the size, we'd need to do the transmutation at the water.

[-Wait] Oh right, and we'll need things to furnish the inside. Pads and what not. and getting the floor water-proof, unless you can build that in.

If you want the transmutation to be successful, don't make it too complex right away. I can give you the basic structure, but you might have to do the rest by hand. [He looks irritated about having to admit it, but there's no getting around it.] My alchemy isn't as strong here as it usually is. Mixing too many materials could mess it up.

If you could even get the frame of it together that would be a major time-saver, and then you can do a secondary round to make things more water-tight if you don't get it the first time. Furnishings we can do manually of course...

[...Hm.]

Either way, it comes down to getting a lot of wood on a beach, right?

I haven't seen the other side of the mountains. Are there trees already there? If they aren't too far from the beach, I can just take them down and convert them into boards until we have enough wood. [He'll have to do some calculations based on the blueprints to make sure the amount of materials is enough, but that shouldn't be too hard.]

Well the ocean used to be a desert before it flooded, so I doubt there's much on the beach itself. Based on my scouting... if there are trees, it'll be up a bit on the far side of the mountain. So I guess it's possibly... [She hums to herself again, considering. Either way, the wood collection is a bit of a hassle. Unless... islands, maybe? Or things that flooded in with the shift - driftwood?]

Winry said we should go sometime, so I'll scout around when we do. Even if they're up the mountain, they'd be easier to move than bringing them from the woods here.

[Scribble, scribble... okay, he's probably got enough notes for the moment. Although-]

If you can get a second copy of these blueprints for me, that would help. I'll talk to Al about it, too- he can help.

[Oh the joys of having a photo-copier. How did they get by without it before now? She pauses a moment- wait, beach? Oh. Right. Well she'd be invited to that, so it would all be quick and easy]
