1st: The Promise of Haruhi Suzumiya

[Voice + Action]

[So Haruhi... arrived this morning. Or well, last night? Somewhere in there, and she learned the truth the hard way. She's yet to test it, but she's got no reason to think Mikage was lying unless it was an elaborate troll, in which case she'll beat him into the ground.

Thus, once it's a more sensible hour of the day, she clears her throat after waking up - and skimming the journals, getting a brief feel for how things are right now, but afraid to look back and see Haruki so not that far - in the Brigade room (if for whatever reason you character would be there in the morning, feel free to run into her then btw):]

Hey, Luceti, listen up!

I, Haruhi Suzumiya, have returned as what is probably one of the first new feathers of this cycle!

SOS-Brigade, that means that naturally you're required to show up for future meetings, starting tomorrow. If you fail to attend even one of the ones this week I'll penalize you so much that you won't get to see the sun for weeks, got it?! Luceti's going to get much more exciting from here, so look forward to it, everyone!

[...Yeah, that'll due. She'll wait on responses for a while, but then getting restless (it's before noon, after all), she's going to head out

She's got two locations in mind. In order, she's heading to Winry's house (House 23) to knock on it and look for her, and then once she deduces Winry is missing (and in a much more foul mood) she's matching to claim back House 10. Naturally, your character is free to run into her on the way to or at either of these locations as well

Yes just feel free to run into her in general. Or reply. Or whatever. After all, you all remember her a little... different. Though new people are welcome too. Everyone is]

[ striped kneesocks? why, they're lovely! anne carefully tugs them on. same goes for the jacket. ]

A jacket? Over nothing? That seems a little risqué. Do people dress like this often where you're from, Haruhi?

[ anne makes a kind of strained, startled sound -- are you sure you know what you're doing, haruhi? ]

Err, I'm not so sure...[ a polite kind of struggling. ]

Marilla often says -- while fitting a new dress she's sewing for me, of course -- that I might be an early bloomer in my mind but I'm late as always everywhere else. Which isn't exactly a fair comment because it isn't as though I'm tardy any more. It's simply so easy to get sidetracked in Avonlea.

[ twisting. it's less about the protest and more about making eye contact to really drive this point home. ] You see, you can simply spend hours in the lupin fields and hardly thing that three seconds had passed.

[ with a defiant (but not unfriendly) lift of chin ] The simple things are often the most beautiful, you know.

Oh -- Haruhi. You're not blind, are you? Because your hair colour and your joie-de-vivre make you far more likely to be the subject of adoration than I ever could be.

[ it's a slightly ridiculous quibble to be having while only semi-dressed. ]

[ very gently, she tries to coax haruhi's hands off of her. ] Perhaps we had best delay the merry-making until after I am more decently dressed?

[ it takes her only briefly to figure out and deduce the workings of these modern items and their fastening devices. so soon she is fully dressed (by some standards) and giving a little twirl in order to experience the spin of the skirt. ]

I can truly say that I've never worn a thing like this before.

It's very charming. Does everyone in your brigade get to wear things like this?

You wore a uniform to school?

We always went in simple dresses and pinafores. Simple, but well made. The better dresses are saved for service on Sundays.

Believe me, it feels a lot better against the skin than wincey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wincey) does.

You can count yourself as very fortunate, then. The stuff is awful. It itches and it never comes in nice colours. Nothing like this uniform.
