Okay, does everyone remember the raffle with fabulous prizes that my very talented minion, Duplica, ran some time ago?! [this, that is] Well it's time to announce the results!

[Haruhi is standing in front of a shoe box filled with raffle tickets. Well, "filled." Either way, she rummages in there to pick the first name] There might be ten prizes, but there can only be three winners! This draw is for the third pick of prize and it's... [Pull out and reading:] Fenimore! One of the close runners up in the SOS-Brigade's Cross Beauty Pageant a while back! Congratulations! [Fist pump, and now rummage for number 2...] Aaaand it's our very own Oswald! The so-called Lucky Rabbit lucks out with second pick! And the number one ceed goooooes to... [Rummage and pull out-- whoa]

Wow, whoever this is has really nice handwriting. [Okay... reading-] Sakura... Oogami. Okay, Sakura Oogami, you get first pick! All three of you should head to the SOS-Brigade's HQ to tell me which prize you're claiming! In order, Sakura gets first pick, then Oswald, then Fenimore! And if you liked this raffle, and want to do more fun things like it, you should consider joining the SOS-Brigade!

[Okay and then she sits. There's a short pause before-] Furthermore, anyone who was in the last draft- I heard it was in a different Enclosure. I don't really care about all the details of the fighting, but anyone who can tell me what that other village was like can get the beneficial thanks of the leader of the SOS-Brigade! After all, it's Culture Day, so you might as well.

[She salutes the book! Then the end thought-]

And as a parting thought: Do you like pirates, or ninja?

[She doesn't get why they're a polarized debate. But a job is a job, and she might as well make it fun]

[and Haruhi will be in the HQ for them. But then later in the day she's going to be planting a sign in the ground outside the HQ which reads:

"Got Problems? Come in and Consult the SOS-Brigade!"

And then she's going to be sitting the HQ waiting for clients and answering things on voice the rest of the time.

[And play. What plays is -- this, more or less. Haruhi taught herself to play Guitar a while ago. While she doesn't consider herself a master or anything (and thus it's not as good as that) it's close. ]

[It's lucky that it is an acoustic version. Her tastes are too far behind modern Earth to be able to appreciate a more rock-like approach. While it's clear from her somewhat uncertain expression that this is very different from what she's used to, there's a tone to that uncertainty that suggests it's not an unpleasant difference.

It's only when the song ends that she says, once she's sure it's done:] Huh. That was...different. But nice.

Thanks. [Brushing some hair back with a self-pleased expression]

[The response and the self-pleased expression together suggests:] ...Did you play that? -- Not the CD. The...instrument.

Mmhm! Of course! I can't have the Brigade's raffle giving out subpar quality.

[Confident, isn't she? Then again, that impression was pretty easy to pick up just from being in Luceti long enough.]

It doesn't seem to be that, at least. [Not subpar quality, that is.] ...What about the other song?

[And, for that one... he collects it and puts it in there. it's her personally singing Eye of the Tiger with a karaoke track of music in the background]

[Okay, that one was a bit too different for her. Her expression grows increasingly skeptical as she more-or-less goes through the same reaction that many experienced in the early days of rock: what is that noise?]

Uh. I...see. I think I'd prefer the first one.

Fine, if you insist! [Stop, and then she gets the first CD single out, putting it in a case so that she can hand it to fenimore. ...Do they have a spare stereo, despite her boasting? Maybe she should just give her this one]

[...What a weird case. Fenimore takes it and turns it over a couple of times. ...Odd.]

Thanks. [...Though, granted, she had won it. Eh. An extra thank you won't go amiss. She begins to open her mouth and turns ever so slightly, as though she were about to just say goodbye and go with just the CD, but then she remembers the speakers bit, so she stops.]

As for the player, there's probably one in the back, so hold on. [She holds up a hand and then goes to retreat into the back room]

Okay.

[Fenimore will wait. Initially, she's largely patient, only examining the CD case in her hands after a few moments. Eventually, she might start to look around the room -- she doesn't touch or open anything, but she might start to shift around the room a bit as she tries to get a look at things.]

[It'll be a fair while. Not because Haruhi's stalling or even necessarily because the thing is lost, but there's a lot of stuff back here, and the boombox she was planning to give might have gotten buried. Still, seven minutes or so later, Haruhi is back out, a little dusty, and holding the item. Which she'll hand off to Fenimore]

Heeere you go!

[It's...cute. She isn't used to technology being cute and she isn't sure what to make of that. She looks at it with a simiar mixture of curiosity and confusion as she looked at the CD before lowering it to an easier level to carry it.]

Uh, thanks. [...She feels like she should say something else before probably saying her goodbyes.] I'll take good care of it.

It's your CD player, you can take care of it however you want. [A beat] Enjoy it.

[Fenimore grins a little at the first part.] I guess you're right. Still...

[She stops herself. She's already said thanks for it, so:] I should leave you back to your work, huh? [...Well, she assumes that Haruhi has work.] I'll see you another time.
