5th: The Contamination of Haruhi Suzumiya

So everyone, Valentines is supposed to be about love and stuff, right? But have you ever thought what's up with that Saint Valentine guy who originated the holiday?! Given that it's still popular today, is he just some famous dead guy, or is he now a ghost, trying to appeal to everyone's mind and manipulate them?! Wouldn't that explain how it's popular in both Japan and the West?

Bearing that in mind, even if this holiday is kinda stupid, it's still important to adhere to certain traditions in hopes of seeing any possible Valentines spirits. Because of that, I've gotten chocolate for some of you.

[...Namely all of the guys in the Brigade and grudgingly Minato. She considered some others, like Neku or Sokka, but decided against it. She also considered Winry but she's not sure if that's too weird or not. That said, delivering them? No, she's carrying them around in her bag in case she runs into people for other reasons and failing that going to put what's left in a basket at the HQ after she's done.]

More importantly-! A bunch of you have heard about the beach, right?! And you're all psyched to go there this summer?! Well, brought to you by our SOS-Brigade's genius scientist, Leon [this next part is muttered quickly and might not be heard:] andsomehelpfromSokka we're bringing you the all-new Beach Teleportation System! You know how the ones for the Hot Springs work, right?! Same thing here! The village-end for the teleporter is located in the barracks, and the other end is way off, so we can have easy access once it warms up!

All in a day's work for the SOS-Brigade!

[Even if she seems still reluctant or something. What the hell is wrong with you now, Haruhi? Anyway, Keiichi's on the lead, as he has nothing to say and instead choses to keep moving. You two coming, right? Let's go see the heart-broken Shiki. Or something.]

[Shiki? Oh, Shiki's not heart-broken. She was earlier, but she's had a change of heart. Earlier in the day she had gone to Kat's Kradle with the full intent of telling off Joshua, maybe winning Neku back for herself. Instead, by the time she got there she ended up sharing her chocolate with both boys and agreeing to stay at Kat's Kradle with them for a while longer.

That being said, by the time the trio gets back to house 10 to check in on her, she's flitting around the place collecting things in a bag to take back, Mr. Mew in her arms. Actually, she seems blissfully unaware that anybody's even stopped by.]

[You know this is not in any way what Haruhi expected to see when she crossed the threshold into her house. Shiki flicking around like an overhappy bat, that is. Thus, when she first gets in here she blinks slowly before-]

Hey, what're you doing?

[And Minato is.... fairly confused too. Either something good happened or Shiki's learned to enjoy the single life. He's not sure which is more likely.]

[You know, she seems quite happy for someone who needs a safety net... But both Minato and Haruhi had seemed sincerely worried and thinking that she was having problems so Keiichi just stares and whispers to Minato.]

Maybe it's a reaction of shock or denial?

[Without really knowing the problem this is the most he can think of.]

[Annnd stopping, turning to look at the trio there. With a wave, she barely stops as she throws a pillow into her bag as well.]

I'm getting ready to go. I'm packing just in case I don't come home tonight. The boys are waiting for me back at Mr. H's cafe. [She turns to acknowledge the two boys then. She had chocolate for them, but it's up for debate whether they've been delivered already or not.]

What're you guys doing here?

[...What the hell. The boys? And Mr. H... she runs a play-through in her mind. What are the likely options? Well, there's- ... Neku is the only obvious conclusion but the other one. Could it be- No it can't be him because apart from making no sense that's just gross

And won't come... home...

Some protective instinct in Haruhi flairs and she folds her arms immediately here, her eyes narrowing

[And now she dangerously cocks her head to the side. The air might seem to have gotten more tense]

And what do you mean you won't be home- oi, you're not jumping someone just because of your break up, right?

[Minato is confused too, trying to figure out who Shiki might label "the boys." Still it's... good she's getting out of the house? But then Haruhi speaks up and puts a worse twist on the situation.]

We came to check on you.

[Hearing Haruhi's comment about a "break up", Keiichi can start to piece what the problem is. Except that now instead of a boyfriend she's talking about several boys.

She used a plural, Haruhi. Wouldn't that mean she's going to jump several guys? Anyway, gangbang isn't the answer to a break up.

Probably not the best thing to say so, here's Keiichi, line-facing and holding back his comments for now.]

[Ohh. Oh, okay, Haruhi. You're going to react like that? Shiki's going to stop and mimic the other girl's pose.] I'm not a tramp! We've been over this! Besides, it's just Neku and Josh. You act like it's such a surprise.

[She reaches into her bag suddenly and pulls out a box of candy from Joshua.] By the way, Josh wanted me to give this to you. [And shoving it at Haruhi, she is. At least she's being more calm with Minato...and Keiichi. It helps that the other boy didn't make the gangbang comment, mostly because that'd set her off all over again.]

I appreciate it, guys, but I'm fine. You two got your chocolate, right?

[....Josh.

....Josh. Oh God. Oh God Oh God Oh GOD what. Haruhi is so shocked she has gone into instinct mode for a moment. Speaking of, sensing Keiichi's vile thoughts, she, without turning, throws a back-handed punch into Keiichi's rib-cage. A hard one. She seems to have hardly noticed she did this though because she is focused intently on Shiki]

Josh- what? [She now looks down at the thing desposited in her hands. She balances it and then. ...Well she looks away from it just as quickly because what]

Josh. As in Joshua, the guy you've been suspecting wants to doink Neku for months?

[...Keiichi how did you manage to piss her off by standing there.

but regardless this conversation is news to him.] You and Neku are okay now?

[Keiichi will just be here. Doubling over himself and feeling his ribs break.

Damnit Haruhi he was even having a straight face. And it's you who started it.]

[She jumps at the sudden impact of Haruhi's fist into Keiichi's ribs, but she's more focused on what the other two are saying.] Yes that Joshua. I know, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye but he's got the best intentions for me, and for Neku, too.

I think Neku's still a little upset, but I'm planning on fixing that with Josh's help. Isn't that great?

[Best... intentions...]

Are you serious-? What so you have tow boys following your beck and call now?!

[...Ignore that she clearly has the same thing behind her]

Well, that's good... [maybe... well at least Shiki seems happy?]

[Man, he knew it would have been gangbang going by what Haruhi was saying... Still, this is crazy.

Let him try to piece this. There's Shiki, who was with Neku in a relationship, he knows that much, thanks. Then they broke, at some point recently apparently, but they were fine during the time people were changing their bodies... Maybe it was because of that? Or something after that? Anyway, they break and Shiki needs a safety net, obviously -does Neku still live here? It must be awkward if he does-. But now... Everything is fine? And she's working to fix Neku being upset with the help of a Joshua? With whom apparently things weren't exactly good before...

Somehow it feels as if there are dots missing in this "Connect the dots" thing.]

It sounds great. I hope that you two can work around to get Neku cheered up but... Since when are you cooperating exactly?
