This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. [Again? She guiltily finds herself thinking]

He's gone. He's been gone for a few days...I even went back to check the house. I just woke up one morning and he wasn't here.

[She will just be leaning against her in that case.] Why do you think this keeps happening?

...is there any way you can bring him back? [It's selfish to ask, she knows. She shouldn't be asking her best friend to try to alter the universe just for her, but...]

I dunno. It didn't work before, but I can try.

Do what you feel like. I'm not going to force you into it. [Which is a lie and she might very well try later but for now she's just staying there leaning against the other girl's shoulder.]

[And she goes to wrap an arm around Shiki side. Her poor friend]

[Well hopefully she doesn't mind if Shiki starts crying. Yeah, that's happening.] I don't want to do this all over again. I can't. [She's vaguely aware she may have already said this, but that doesn't make it any less true.] What am I supposed to do?

[She bites her lip. she doesn't know... it was a given they would be around together. Without it, well... nnngh]

You and Minato are the only people I've told so far. I have no idea how to tell Beat or Josh or...anybody else. Especially since Joshua's still weird about Mr. H leaving and Beat's from a time where he's still dead. How am I supposed to explain this? [She's just rambling, don't mind her.]

I guess just one thing at a time.

[Lightly, mostly to herself]

...maybe he'll come back though. You know, he came back once before. Why wouldn't he do it again?

[That might be too rude. Too direct. But she can't have Shiki clinging to that specific thought, it's not healthy]

That's different than counting on it.

And why can't I count on it?

Because there's no assurance it'll happen.

Maybe I can figure out a way to make it happen. They tend to listen sometimes. Maybe there's someone I can make a deal with.

No. You can't count on that, you can't cut a deal.

I've got to try though! I'm not just going to let him go away again!

And what if you can't?! It's not like they'll listen, and you're risking a reaction!

...maybe he's not really gone. Maybe he's just kidnapped and he'll be back soon.
