There are better ways of self-defense than guns, you know.

Look, the thing with firearms is that they are poor for self-defense. Learning to fire one may take an hour, but it shall take weeks before you'll learn to reload, aim and fire with enough efficiency and speed. Most of the time, a gun used for self-defense is meant to intimidate. That method is useless on the battlefield.
[ sigh ]
If you want to not end up dead, there are better ways than such direct confrontation.

Noted. Then help me run through some "not dying" techniques beyond the obvious.

'Tis a jungle this time, no? The techniques for that battlefield are obvious. What you need is a good camouflage, a knife and explosives. Rather than a sidearm, bring a light machine gun.

Just take care and remember. A handgun in the hands of an amateur really is worthless for self-defense on a battlefield.
