[This post comes up about an hour after the draft announcement and her reaction to it. It's cool, simple, to the point. Whoever wants to run into her will run into her during the course of the next day or two (and feel free to action that!) when she goes about "business as usual." Fur now, she's been training in magic and hand to hand, but neither is going to be efficient here, so-]

[He moves over to set each of the dolls on the bench, glancing at her.] Sorry. I probably should've mentioned sooner that robotics aren't my forte.

[She shakes her head]

It's fine. We should work on other stuff for future there- force fields, barriers, ...things like that. We we can make them, let alone mass them, it would make everything safer, right?

If. Force fields, barriers... That's pretty complex, if we're talking about technology. ...The fact that the Third Party can get into all of these different Malnosso-controlled places makes me wonder about their durability, too.

You're thinking on the broad level though. If the force field relies on say... reversing gravity, or slowing down or removing kinetic energy instead of making an actually metaphysical "barrier," it wouldn't matter if the Party guys can get through conventional force fields.

Sure, reversing gravity is a good way to stop them. But once that force field's down ... for whatever reason, the problem's still there. And the Shifters would be able to deactivate them.

Irrelevant. A force field that lasts any length of time is better than none.

[She cuts in there, sharply]

[He gives her a look, but it doesn't last. He's tired and he's really not in the mood for debating.]

...Irrelevant. [He closes up his bag, slinging the strap back around his shoulder.] Well, good luck to whoever's tackling that.

You are, of course. [...Wait, that's probably rude. She looks at the dolls and then back at Leon. She frowns, and then-] ...Once you get some rest, I mean. And finish up the slot machines.

He looks at her, longer this time, and doesn't say anything for a moment.]

No one. You don't know that.

[Well, maybe not, but she folds her arms anyway]

Even if I'm wrong you're still the best I know.

...I'll think about it. [He sighs. His brain is fried right now. How many of the Brigade, noncombatants, were going out there?] Just focus on whatever you're going to do out there.

Yeah. I will.

[And now holding this doll, she feels more confident. Sure it's a fatalistic gift and sure it will fade - this feeling, that is - but... it's still good]
