[So Haruhi... arrived this morning. Or well, last night? Somewhere in there, and she learned the truth the hard way. She's yet to test it, but she's got no reason to think Mikage was lying unless it was an elaborate troll, in which case she'll beat him into the ground.

Thus, once it's a more sensible hour of the day, she clears her throat after waking up - and skimming the journals, getting a brief feel for how things are right now, but afraid to look back and see Haruki so not that far - in the Brigade room (if for whatever reason you character would be there in the morning, feel free to run into her then btw):]

I, Haruhi Suzumiya, have returned as what is probably one of the first new feathers of this cycle!

SOS-Brigade, that means that naturally you're required to show up for future meetings, starting tomorrow. If you fail to attend even one of the ones this week I'll penalize you so much that you won't get to see the sun for weeks, got it?! She's got two locations in mind. In order, she's heading to Winry's house (House 23) to knock on it and look for her, and then once she deduces Winry is missing (and in a much more foul mood) she's matching to claim back House 10. Naturally, your character is free to run into her on the way to or at either of these locations as well

Well if there's sliders, then of course there's got to be a way to merge realities, right? In this case the memories of you guys were overwritten with the memories of a "me" from a different dimension, in this case that guy.

[What is that even - and... her memories were rewritten? She doesn't like the sound of that. Give her a moment - you might hear the pages rustling - as Katara's going to go back in her journal for her last conversation with Haruki.

[But she winces at that sound. She's checking- something she doesn't dare do just yet]

[There's a pause here as Katara considers. She doesn't believe her memories have been altered - not if the whole village remembers it this way too. Of course, she doesn't put it passed the Malnosso, but... it's evident that Haruki and Haruhi met each other before, which means... both of them can exist.

Ow, her head.

But even laying aside the consequences of how that might reflect on Avatar!Sokka and girl!Sokka and those memories of being burned... Katara knows what it's like to believe that something's real, simply because it happened.

And maybe those things didn't happen to Haruhi when she remembers them happening to her. But Katara's come to believe that people's memories form a huge part of them... and they happened to her now, at least.

And just as she can't bring herself to deny her own experiences as that child... she's not going to try to get Haruhi to deny that those things happened to her either.]

All right, well.. I'm not going to deny that what I remember happened with him, because that wouldn't be fair to him. Or to me. But I'm not going to deny that you remember them happening to you either. So I guess the fairest thing to do is just.. be ready to start over. And to say welcome back. [And there's the slightest warming of her tone as she smiles, just a little. Because, jerk though he was...] This place definitely wasn't the same without you.

[...but no, she hasn't heard of him. Also, she has no idea what those words mean except 'recluse.' And, yes, Katara's getting that vibe. Shopping therapy works on Sokka and... if she'd come back and everyone had always thought she was a boy, after all she'd worked so hard to accomplish...
