[...Okay, she can do this. She's normal, finally (or so she'd like to convince herself) and because of that it's time to get to business.]

...Okay, Brigade, if you didn't get the memo yet we've lost a lot of members- including Naoki and Yoohoo, among others. [Her voice dips. But then there's a slapping sound and she presses on, her tone getting brighter] But that's beside the point! New feathers, there's a lot of you guys now, and old feathers too, some of you guys must want some excitement in your life, right?! Ever feel that budding sense of your existence here being meaningless?! Well, think no further, because for a short time only the SOS-Brigade is accepting applications for new members to our illustrious ranks!

But some of you might think "Wow I'm lame and have been living under a rock and/or haven't read the guide, what is this completely amazing sounding organization," right? Since you asked, I'll answer free of charge!

The Spreading Excitement All Over the World with Haruhi Suzumiya Brigade - SOS-Brigade for short - is the greatest organization ever invented. We're dedicated to finding and solving all the mysteries of this world, thus ensuring that everyone in it can lead a fun and worthwhile life! It's like a form of enlightenment! So basically, people who have experienced something mysterious in the past, have experienced something mysterious recently, or who plan on a mysterious experience in the near future should come to the SOS Brigade for them be solved.

But besides that, we have ensure that people have fun! We have big plans for the coming months! It's Spring, and while we obviously won't get Golden Week, there's always time and need for another Hanami or for contests, attractions, fireworks once we get summer, the beach, the lake, you name it, we're on it! You should fully expect your life to be influenced by our might in the near future! I hope your bodies are ready for it!

So there you have it! And, like I said, we're accepting applications! So hurry up and speak up so that I, Haruhi Suzumiya, can process you and determine if you have the right stuff!

[Buuut, once that announcement is made in ther break time for school at about 10:30 AM (and thus replies might be later in the day) Haruhi has places to be. She's being low-key about it, but it is White Day, after all. So, during her lunch break at school she sets off- she had her Winry Day yesterday, but she owes Winry something in return. Thus, with a bag over her shoulder around 12:30PM she's made her way to Winry's house to knock.

From there, back to school, finishing it up, the Brigade meeting... and then loitering around town is her MO for the afternoon. She got chocolate for all of the guys in the Brigade (plus Neku and maybe some others) after all, and even she's not voicing it she expects things back from there. ...And Minato. And Keiichi. But she's not going to press the issue there because even she's not sure she wants them. But if you see her lurking around the square in the afternoon that's why.]

And just which somewhere would you suggest? Though -- for the record I'd like to state that I have no personal issues with street-standing.

[ buffy would suggest somewhere on her own...most likely good spirits; however, she's not interested in having her suggestions shot down. ]

[A challenging smirk comes up on her face. She gets to pick the playing field? Well then, there's only one choice: the one where has has absolute advantage and Buffy has none at all.

She jerks her thumb at the Brigade HQ]

[ aha. she's been inside that building once before while speaking with haruki. but buffy nods because what real difference does the where make to her? ]

[And with that, Haruhi's going to bound off to that place, her HQ. And then settle in for being in the chair at the back of the room quickly. Her chair - the one she's most comfortable in.]

[ for her part, buffy does not sit. she stands with her arms folded loosely across her torso. a habitual stance -- controlled. ]

...You've got some new stuff in here since I was last in. Huh.

Course! If you stop moving then you might as well be comatose. Being on top of a changing climate is vital!

[She says with a bright grin]

...This climate? Changing? Sure, but hardly in a way that begs having a -- is that a photocopier? [ huh. ]

The photocopier is a vital part of my organization.

...So, on average? How many of "your people" get caught trying to photocopy their own faces in any given week?

Well...besides the odd ones who think it's fun? Just about anyone from a world without this kinda tech.

Have you introduced Winry to the photo-copier? [ 'cause she likes machines and stuff. ]

Oh. ...Well it's in the Brigade room, so I'm not sure - maybe not.

...Because! It's like- a thing. I don't usually go to the Smithy and she doesn't usually go here.

So...how come? I mean -- you don't think that's a little weird?

[ so maybe she's pushing too much too fast. this is a test. ]

Well we have keys to each other's houses, you know.

[Okay, so there's more to it than that, but she leans back in her chair, looking out the big window behind her, upside down from this perspective]

[ ...sob oh right normal people use keys unlike buffy who just breaks and enters. ]

Still -- close friends and...other people? I like it when they come in to visit at the bar. But to each their own, no matter how different drummish.

[Sigh, how do you not get this?]

The bar's a public place. This Brigade - this room. In here I might as well be God, right? I don't think she's comfortable coming here because of it - least of all while we're having a meeting.

[There, even this woman can't mistake that. Even if she's still looking backways out the window]

[ did...she just call herself god? buffy has to stop and kinda get her stare on for a moment. ]

So what's the smithy, then? It's mostly public in its own way.

[She flips up in the chair now, turning to face Buffy better]

I go there sometimes, but that's Sokka's territory and that damned kappa used to be there a lot. It's easier just to meet her for Winry Days or go to her house.
