godbent | 18th: The Canvas of Haruhi Suzumiya

[This pot takes place mostly in (the lobby, lounge room, pub maybe) or around the LucetiLand hotel.

So... the draft began on the 25th. It's been nerve wrecking for all parties, Haruhi included, so she opted to commit to an agreement her and Winry made before the summer and she was recently reminded of - body painting her girlfriend. She was also allowed to put her on display. She's been working on that for some time now, the better part of this week in particular to re-practice.

And today is the day she showcases! But in a smaller area. Not the town proper, not the park probably, just inside and just outside the hotel. Haruhi's smartly dressed and smiling broadly, Winry has on her own pants and such, but in place of a shirt is something you might imagine to be a little like this (slightly nsfw?), albeit with a shirt Winry would actually wear. More obvious close up, not that obvious from a distance. (also in Winry's case there's a little something covering her nipples to stop them from protruding or anything as part of Haruhi's vaunted sense of "decency").

They'll be around here most of the afternoon - talking to people who walk up, maybe playing a simple game (Haruhi brought cards to play with Winry what she did at the casino) maybe chatting up people if there's no bites. Later in the day - more like the evening - once all washed off you might also find them in the indoor pool or spa.

[THAT'S PAINT, ISN'T IT. Don quickly finds somewhere else to look. In a strangled voice:]

Very impressive, Haruhi.

[Robert doesn't even react to this knowledge, except to suddenly realize how much effort this must have taken to get right.]

Remarkable... And with Luceti t-technology, I suppose that means you... c-crafted it by hand...

... You must be quite the v-visual artist, Haruhi.

[He is impressed.]

[Winry looks off in the opposite direction of Don. Now she's gets to be stared at like some piece of displayed canvas - even if she kind of... is. UGH SO EMBARRASSING. At least she has the tiny adhesive cover ups for her chest.]

That's right! Handmade, it's a Suzumiya Original! [She grins, even more proud now that Robert's praising her. Don might be flustered, Winry might be too, but right now she's barely noticing because hee she's so awesome] It took a lot of paint and an hour or three, but I was able top do it!

[Wait a minute again.]

Are you SOS-Brigade Suzumiya?

[Now, this, Robert remembers from before...]

... Ah, the SOS-Brigade... H-Haruhi spoke of that before.

[Good, now Don has a reason to dislike Haruhi, independent of her having stolen his not-girlfriend.]

We met over the journals and she explained it to me.

As I recall, the p-purpose of the Brigade is... mostly recreational...? [Is that correct? Robert's not sure. It has been awhile...]

Yeah, I guess you could say that.

[...Waggling a finger right in Robert's face now] Hah! It's way more than that! [she shakes her head, taking a step back and shrugging theatrically] So if you've experienced something interesting or mysterious, are experiencing it now, or will experience it in future, come to us! We'll work out out.

[Do not waggle your finger in his partner's face. 8| ]

It's a pretty long-standing group, isn't it?

[Robert inclines juuuust away from that finger-waggle. He is not sure how to react when somebody does something like that...]

Interesting or m-mysterious... [He muses thoughtfully to himself.] In Luceti, that... could easily to apply to n-nearly any mechanic...

[Winry simply sighs. Oh, the Brigade...]

Could not. Some of this place gets dull over time, you know.

[Don exchanges a glance with Winry. Maybe they should just let their respective partners argue for a while...]

[Robert raises an eyebrow slightly at that. Dull? Luceti? Either Haruhi's world is particularly eccentric or she's been here so long that she's nearly unflappable.]

... Well... I s-suppose it depends on perspective, to... some extent. I still find much of Luceti... extremely unorthodox...

When you're here for over two years it can get a little like that.

Exactly. How long have you been here?

[Yeah. Just - staying out of this one for a while.]

Seven months, approximately. I was... f-first indicted on the twenty-first of January...

[Seven months of constant exposure has at least made Luceti easier to deal with.]

So just over half a year.

It is... not an entirely i-insignificant length of time, I should think...

... That being said, it is... c-certainly not as long as others here. So perhaps I have... to be here longer, to be inured to it.
