18th: The Canvas of Haruhi Suzumiya

[This pot takes place mostly in (the lobby, lounge room, pub maybe) or around the LucetiLand hotel.

So... the draft began on the 25th. It's been nerve wrecking for all parties, Haruhi included, so she opted to commit to an agreement her and Winry made before the summer and she was recently reminded of - body painting her girlfriend. She was also allowed to put her on display. She's been working on that for some time now, the better part of this week in particular to re-practice.

And today is the day she showcases! But in a smaller area. Not the town proper, not the park probably, just inside and just outside the hotel. Haruhi's smartly dressed and smiling broadly, Winry has on her own pants and such, but in place of a shirt is something you might imagine to be a little like this (slightly nsfw?), albeit with a shirt Winry would actually wear. More obvious close up, not that obvious from a distance. (also in Winry's case there's a little something covering her nipples to stop them from protruding or anything as part of Haruhi's vaunted sense of "decency").

They'll be around here most of the afternoon - talking to people who walk up, maybe playing a simple game (Haruhi brought cards to play with Winry what she did at the casino) maybe chatting up people if there's no bites. Later in the day - more like the evening - once all washed off you might also find them in the indoor pool or spa.

Obviously, this is a joint post between Haruhi and crytearsofjoy, and excuse us if we're a little slow]

[Obviously, Robert is completely oblivious to this conflict. But he's oblivious to other awkwardness, too, which is why he says - directed at Haruhi of course:]

And, ah, D-Don is my partner.

[Oh, Winry's taking the conversation lead, right? She just shrugs into place right here, nodding at Robert when he-]

[.....Partner?

With a turtle?

She says nothing, but she's clearly gaping]

[Don meets Haruhi's gape with a slightly-raised brow. He's completely embarrassed by Robert's casual admission, but, well, why should he be? Instead of looking away, he pastes on an expression of polite inquiry, silently challenging Haruhi to say something.]

[And he answers Winry's question:]

We were only planning to stay two days, but we're up to four. So - yes.

[In Robert's mind, him blatantly admitting something like this is as normal as him stating he's a scientist or something along those lines. As it is, he doesn't recognize Haruhi's expression for the shock it is.]

Lucetiland is... c-certainly a fascinating place... I, er, am g-glad for the chance to give it a... more thorough examination.

[Winry nudges Haruhi. Sure, she's entitled to her surprise, but in the middle of a conversation isn't the best time.]

Well I originally didn't plan on coming, but Haruhi persuaded me.

[Over the course of the conversation, Don has been noticing Winry's tank top. It is - very tight. And there's something else about it, that he can't quite put his finger on.]

Do you think so?

[... Now he can't help wondering what these two young ladies have been doing in their room.]

[It's amusing that Robert honestly doesn't care either way for any of this.

Though if he knew what Haruhi was thinking, there might be an... interesting reaction.]

The indoor pool and spa are really cool. Haruhi and I are thinking about visiting that later.

And I can... certainly agree on the room quality... [He makes a thoughtful sound.] It b-begs the question as to what the Malnosso are c-capable of constructing, though.

[At Don's question, Robert's gaze goes to Winry's torso. Not in a leering way - if anything, it's surprisingly detached.

Hmm. No visible fabric lines.

Fascinating.]

Skin p-pigmenting modification, perhaps...?

[Well things like fabric seams and premade folds are painted on, but it's impossible to paint it for every lighting situation. As an answer? Uh... uh... oh god they notice what does she-

JUST BE HONEST:] Ha-Haruhi made it.

[She beams, proudly. So they noticed, but it took them this long. She's counting it as a win.]

[THAT'S PAINT, ISN'T IT. Don quickly finds somewhere else to look. In a strangled voice:]

[Robert doesn't even react to this knowledge, except to suddenly realize how much effort this must have taken to get right.]

Remarkable... And with Luceti t-technology, I suppose that means you... c-crafted it by hand...

... You must be quite the v-visual artist, Haruhi.

[Winry looks off in the opposite direction of Don. Now she's gets to be stared at like some piece of displayed canvas - even if she kind of... is. UGH SO EMBARRASSING. At least she has the tiny adhesive cover ups for her chest.]

That's right! Handmade, it's a Suzumiya Original! [She grins, even more proud now that Robert's praising her. Don might be flustered, Winry might be too, but right now she's barely noticing because hee she's so awesome] It took a lot of paint and an hour or three, but I was able top do it!
