5th: The Contamination of Haruhi Suzumiya

So everyone, Valentines is supposed to be about love and stuff, right? But have you ever thought what's up with that Saint Valentine guy who originated the holiday?! Given that it's still popular today, is he just some famous dead guy, or is he now a ghost, trying to appeal to everyone's mind and manipulate them?! Wouldn't that explain how it's popular in both Japan and the West?

Bearing that in mind, even if this holiday is kinda stupid, it's still important to adhere to certain traditions in hopes of seeing any possible Valentines spirits. Because of that, I've gotten chocolate for some of you.

[...Namely all of the guys in the Brigade and grudgingly Minato. She considered some others, like Neku or Sokka, but decided against it. She also considered Winry but she's not sure if that's too weird or not. That said, delivering them? No, she's carrying them around in her bag in case she runs into people for other reasons and failing that going to put what's left in a basket at the HQ after she's done.]

The village-end for the teleporter is located in the barracks, and the other end is way off, so we can have easy access once it warms up!

She retracts her hand with a little yell and then pouts. S-sob]

[HIS HAND IS HIS AGAIN! Unless Minato's still keeping it. Keiichi just sighs and relaxes now though. Kiss, what kiss, it has gone from his mind.]

That's exactly what I mean by being too young! At middle school one should still be all about playing, maybe start flirting with girls in the last years but not when you're starting it!

That's... You really don't seem to care much about your first kiss, shouldn't it be a special time? I mean, sure, waiting for it to happen on your wedding is too old fashioned but still...

It was special at the time. [because he was a kid then.]

It's asking too much for a moment to be universally special forever. Things are good at the time and sometimes when you get more experiences they aren't as good because the context is different. Being hung up on one instance is stupid.

Do you even remember the name of the girl? Or you the name of the boy? I know that as time goes by a first kiss means nothing to the things one experiences, but still I don't think it's something that can be shrugged off like that. It's like a first time having sex, sure it's a natural thing and even necessary and not just for reproduction, it's even good for health, but the first time is a big step. A first kiss and the first time having sex are moments at which the person decides to uncover themselves a little or completely depending on what it is.

It's a moment at which one takes a step to maturity beyond the social stages that are settled, and something important and basically world changing because it's a closed door that's opened and won't ever be able to be closed. I just can't believe that at your time, playing around with such a thing is such a normal thing. No wonder it's not special it has lost any personal value even!

It can be special the second or hundredth time, too. It's your experience, so you decide that.
