5th: The Contamination of Haruhi Suzumiya

So everyone, Valentines is supposed to be about love and stuff, right? But have you ever thought what's up with that Saint Valentine guy who originated the holiday?! Given that it's still popular today, is he just some famous dead guy, or is he now a ghost, trying to appeal to everyone's mind and manipulate them?! Wouldn't that explain how it's popular in both Japan and the West?

Bearing that in mind, even if this holiday is kinda stupid, it's still important to adhere to certain traditions in hopes of seeing any possible Valentines spirits. Because of that, I've gotten chocolate for some of you.

[...Namely all of the guys in the Brigade and grudgingly Minato. She considered some others, like Neku or Sokka, but decided against it. She also considered Winry but she's not sure if that's too weird or not. That said, delivering them? No, she's carrying them around in her bag in case she runs into people for other reasons and failing that going to put what's left in a basket at the HQ after she's done.]

More importantly-! A bunch of you have heard about the beach, right?! And you're all psyched to go there this summer?! Well, brought to you by our SOS-Brigade's genius scientist, Leon [this next part is muttered quickly and might not be heard:] andsomehelpfromSokka we're bringing you the all-new Beach Teleportation System! You know how the ones for the Hot Springs work, right?! Same thing here! The village-end for the teleporter is located in the barracks, and the other end is way off, so we can have easy access once it warms up!

All in a day's work for the SOS-Brigade!

[Well, that chat with the heartbroken Shiki was.... Not as full of broken hearts as he would have expected. Though thanks to Haruhi Keiichi's pretty sure he has got one or two broken ribs. He's ribbroken now.]

So...

[He's still staring at the door and replaying in his head the encounter. If it wasn't for Minato he would have thought that Haruhi was lying about Shiki having problems.]

Is the beach still okay?

[Haruhi is still somewhere between disgusted and shellshocked, what with the fact that Shiki is... yeah... Her eyes are wide but she looks frustrated and is staring at the door alongside Keiichi, really]

...Or we could stay here.

That's another option, yeah.

[Specially now that it seems they would have the house for themselves. Shiki was all "just in case I don't come home tonight" but with all the things she got one can guess she's kind of seriously expecting it.]

I vote for the beach.

[hm. He thinks the beach would be fun too, but the idea was to have Keiichi make up with Haruhi. He turns to her.] It's your choice.

...I dunno, it's still pretty cold, but then I guess we're okay there- [she mutters to herself, speaking to Eferin and a little bit of fire spews casually out of her fingertips in Keiichi's direction. Yes, you loser :| but then... stomp, stomp...]

[Just a significant look to Minato. See? This is why he didn't want to try anything even with help. She's not going to try anything he made even if they assure her it's not poisonous.

Whatever, he turns and starts to move. He's not going to fight over something this stupid and hearing her once is enough, he doesn't want to hear her deny any claim they make about Keiichi having been capable of making something without it being lethal.]

[Haruhi, you could be a little less harsh.... and Keiichi don't run off on them]

We made it together. And it tastes fine.

[... :C Keiichi why you gotta be like this? Seriously. Come on, Why do you need to do bad things like run off. She sighs]

[She puts her hands on her hips and raises her voice]

Fine! Then I'll eat it all! [She nods. Sigh]

[He's not running off, just going a bit ahead of them. He stops though on hearing Haruhi and turns to her.]

If you eat it all Minato and me will be left with nothing, you know.

[Anyway it does lift his mood to hear that. Really, he's aware of his lack of talent for cooking, but he can learn some things, slowly and with tons of time and Minato's help. He will probably never be a master chef neither one to be trusted in the kitchen alone, but he won't poison anyone with his food. But for that people have to give him a chance.]

[yes let's do that before you all start squabbling again]

Yeah, sure. [...And then she leaps on ahead of both of them, breaking into an instant run] Let's march!

[As we're running to the barracks, of course. So we've got like... the whole town to sprint through. Opposite ends, lol]

[So, after sprinting through the whole town as if the end of the world was coming... Keiichi will be catching a bit of breath back once they are at the teleporters, thanks.]

[Minato is less out of breath here. Maybe you need some personal training if they're going to race like this often, K-1.
